For our demanding customer projects, we have again expanded the gearing production area.
With this additional gear cutting machine with three synchronised motor spindles and automated loading magazine, we are in a position to optimally satisfy our customers' needs in the series production of gear cutting components up to module 1, a workpiece diameter of up to 40mm and a workpiece length of up to 100mm in a future-oriented manner. The various gearings are used, among other things, in drives for revolving doors and sliding doors, in the field of electromechanical drive technology automotive (e.g. drives for convertible roofs, spoilers and wind deflectors, trailer couplings), in apparatus engineering, medical technology or in precision mechanics.
To operate these and other gear cutting machines, we have recruited new specialists who enrich our team with their experience.

For the first time, Primus Präzisionstechnik has been recognized as a top innovator. The basis for this award is the independently designed and programmed digital shop floor management for cross-departmental control and communication of the company. The whole KPI tracking is also integrated into the digital shop floor. This enables us to access live key figures, such as EoL rates, sick leave or delivery performance to make sure that our decisions are correct.
An additional turning center and a specialized worm gear cutting machine ensure shorter and more flexible delivery times and high process reliability. The machines are use for the production of high-precision and safety-relevant gear components for spoiler drives in the area of aerodynamics for sports cars. These investments combined with the increase in know-how and our existing technologies guarantee the highest level of customer satisfaction.
New project drives for convertible roofs Classic Roadster is in full process. The convertible roof drives for Classic Roadster are being launched for a Bavarian automotive group. For this purpose, gearing calculations as well as the complete transmission design and definition of the housing geometries were already performed. The first injection tools could be released just 3 months after the kick-off. The rapid progress of the project ensures that the first drives will be delivered to the customer as early as April 2020.
The sps trade fair was again a complete success for us. We were able to inspire new suppliers and customers for us. Among other things, high-precision gear parts for the area of spoiler adjustment were presented at the trade fair. A new drive in the field of building automation for moving glass fronts also attracted the attention of visitors. All in all we had successful three days and we are already looking forward to sps 2020
Primus Präzisionstechnik exhibited at IZB in Wolfsburg for the first time. Many interesting conversations were held and contacts made.
